Major battery drain

So this app is pretty great. It successfully wakes me up more than any other alarm. But it has a MAJOR flaw.
This morning it didnt wake me up because it killed my battery despite the fact that my (brand new) phone was plugged in.
I checked battery usage and this app has used 58% of my battery usage over the past 24 hours, and 37% over the past 7 days. I wish I could keep using this app but it made me late for work and that is not cool.
