Developer plans Big Update :-)

Carrot Talking Alarm is one of the best iPhone alarm apps period.

Developer quickly replied to me via support email about a planned update which will address some problems:

1st Problem: Carrot Talking alarm does Not Work half of the time.

The Carrot Alarm will just send notifications to the lock screen and not talk to you or it will just play sounds without the female voice talking to wake you up.

Or, Carrot Alarm will only send notifications to the lock screen and makes no sounds or talking at all !

2nd Problem: Carrot Talking Alarm goes to 100% on my iPhone speaker.

The setting for the volume only works for the minimum setting but does not obey this setting as a maximum volume.

So volume starts out at 25% or 50% or 75% (whatever your settings are) then Carrot Alarm will quickly Max Out your volume to 100% and stays at 100% ! and plays with such loud speaker distortion that you can barely understand the words or make out the loud distorted music noise which over time could mess up my iPhone speaker.

3rd Problem: Carrot Alarm has no backup reminder notification capability.

If you complete your Tasks then Carrot is done with you and does not care to check up on you to see if you are still awake.

Sending a user defined number of Notifications for the customer to interact with is badly needed. If the Customer failed to interact with the preset Notifications (because you fell back asleep) then Carrot Alarm would restart the "Wake & Snooze" alarm option and have you complete another task cycle.

For now I am looking forward to the Carrot Alarm update and would recommend this app overall since it is awesome when it works and will be even better when updated.

Also asked developer to continue iOS 8 support for the ability to use Carrot on older iPhones that are used as dedicated alarm clocks and music players which stay at home next to the bed.
